Chickpea Burger

Ingredients

Method

  1. Lightly fry the onion and garlic in olive oil until just before they start to brown
  2. Mash the chickpeas, celery, carrot, egg replacer, add 3/4 cup flour and add the onion and garlic previously fried, season with salt and pepper
  3. Heat olive oil and make sure frying pan is well heated
  4. Form your mixture into patties, cover it with the remaining 1/4 cup of flour, and lightly fry for 3-4 minutes on each side until brown

Thermomix Method:

  1. Saute onion and garlic 3min/120C/Speed 1 using 20g of olive oil
  2. Place chickpeas, celery, carrot, egg replacer, salt and pepper, and any other of your favourite spices. Blend all for 1 minute at speed 4.5
  3. Place the whisk and add 3/4 cup flour, 30 seconds on reverse, speed 1 to bind the flour
  4. Heat olive oil and make sure frying pan is well heated
  5. Form your mixture into patties, cover it with the remaining 1/4 cup of flour, and lightly fry for 3-4 minutes on each side until brown
